Stichting IMC Weekendschool biedt motiverend onderwijs aan kinderen uit aandachtswijken. Sinds 2016 breidt de stichting haar onderwijsvisie en sociale impact uit met een speciaal programma voor nieuwkomerskinderen in Nederland, via IMC on Tour.

There are thousands of small villages in Upper Egypt, where only a
few Christians remain.&#38;nbsp; Churches are
closed because there are insufficient pastors, who want to live in these remote
places and shepherd a church community. 
Therefore, it is difficult for Christians to grow and feel connected to
a Christian community.&#38;nbsp; Many church
buildings are deserted and Christians find it difficult to survive in this part
of the world. The objective of this project is to revive the Christian
communities and open the churches to different ministries for children, youth,
women, etc.


Approach


Pastor Amer wants to reach 80.000 people in 5 villages/towns in
Upper Egypt and open the church buildings in the coming 5 years.&#38;nbsp; He is forming a team to organize out-reaches
and set-up children’s clubs, women’s ministries and weekly church services to
encourage the Christians in these remote places.&#38;nbsp; Pastors will be equipped to teach and
minister to the people.&#38;nbsp; For the coming 5
years an investment will be necessary to provide the
pastors with training, a contribution to their salary and tools/equipment for
the different ministries.


JIP’s contribution to the projectJIP supports this project on a long-term basis, donating twice a year. An amount for the Orthodox Easter Festival and an amount for the Christmas.

Slachtofferhulp mensenhandel in de seksindustrie, Noord India.

Approach
IJM werkt vanaf 2000 samen met lokale politieteams, rechtbanken en sociale diensten om mensenhandel in de seksindustrie tegen te gaan.


JIP’s contribution to the projectVoor dit bedrag kan IJM 6 traumazorg hulpverleners aannemen voor een jaar. Het gaat om hulpverleners die gespecialiseerd zijn in het behandelen van trauma’s van slachtoffers van sekshandel en misbruik. De hulpverleners komen regelmatig langs in de nazorgverblijven om de slachtoffers te helpen hun trauma’s te verwerken. Dit doen zij vanuit liefde en compassie.

Objective


Stichting IMC Weekendschool vindt het van groot belang dat de samenleving zich bekommert om nieuwkomerskinderen in ons land. Via het programma IMC on Tour wil zij de nieuwkomers op een directe manier welkom heten en de maatschappij in de klas brengen. IMC on Tour biedt het concept van Stichting IMC Weekendschool aangepast op de doelgroep na schooltijd op taalscholen. Aan het programma doen nieuwkomerskinderen in de leeftijd tussen 9 en 12 jaar mee. 
ApproachDoor het programma van IMC on Tour maken kinderen die nieuw zijn in Nederland direct kennis met de Nederlandse samenleving. Het programma stimuleert het lef van de leerlingen, biedt hun een netwerk en geeft hun de bagage mee om te kunnen worden wie ze willen zijn. 

Tijdens één schooljaar maken de kinderen buiten schooltijd kennis met een tiental vakgebieden. Elke week komt er een bevlogen gastdocent in de klas om te vertellen over zijn of haar werk. Het jaar wordt afgesloten met de Summer School. Tijdens de Summer School gaan de kinderen gedurende de eerste twee weken van de zomervakantie leuke en leerzame activiteiten ondernemen. De activiteiten staan in het teken van natuur, cultuur en sport en spel. 


JIP’s contribution to the project


Met onze bijdrage kan IMC on Tour dit schooljaar haar werk voortzetten voor de on Tour+-klas in Amersfoort. We dragen daarmee concreet bij aan de taalontwikkeling en sociaal-emotionele ontwikkeling van nieuwkomerskinderen, en we dragen bij aan hun verbinding met de Nederlandse samenleving.

Kinderen in achterstandssituaties de ondersteuning te bieden die nodig is om een kansrijke toekomst tegemoet te gaan	
Eén op de vier Amsterdamse kinderen groeit op in armoede. De gevolgen van armoede zijn vergaand. Deze kinderen ervaren dagelijks sociale uitsluiting, eenzaamheid, angst voor huisuitzetting en gebrek aan voedsel, kleding, huisraad en speelgoed. Een nog groter gevolg is de emotionele impact op het kind: gebrek aan eigen waarde, een pessimistische kijk op het leven en hun eigen kunnen én gebrek aan stimulering tot het inzetten van hun talenten en ambities. Deze kinderen zijn daardoor vaak later ook weer ouders van kinderen die opgroeien in armoede.
Approach
Het Fort begon in 2017 met de eerste locatie in de Banne in Amsterdam-Noord en stelt zichzelf als doel om kinderen die opgroeien armoede te ondersteunen en daarmee de vicieuze cirkel van opgroeien in armoede te doorbreken.


JIP’s contribution to the projectDankzij de donatie hebben wij ons programma sterker kunnen maken en waardevolle workshops kunnen aanbieden. Wij hebben echt gezien hoe de kinderen tijdens deze speciale activiteiten aan het genieten en tegelijk aan het groeien waren. We hebben de volgende workshops aangeboden: ”Ultimate frisbee” (sport, samenwerken en fun); “Bamboestieken” (samenwerken, doorzettingsvermogen en fun); Schilderen (jezelf presenteren en fun); Djembé spelen (cultuur, samenwerken en fun); zes theaterworkshops (inleveringsvermogen, samenwerking, creativiteit, humor en fun) en interactief voorleestheater (inlevingsvermogen, perspectief vergroten en fun.

Approach
To provide residential homes for hundred orphans consisting of fifty girls and boys. As per the law, boys and girls are to live in separate homes. Therefore, the plan is to build two four-storey buildings to accommodate boys and girls in separate buildings. 


JIP’s contribution to the projectMeanwhile, Lungziu Henameki Society would like to start with 15-20 children because there is a great need to help the children. We need to build two tin-roofed hostels for children and a dinning house. JIP Foundation donate together with Claudiu Popa (Romanian entrepreneur) the amount to build this nobel venture.End of Project ReportWith much joy, I wish to inform you that we have started Lungziu Boys Hostel at Samziuram, Nagaland. We started the hostel with 11 boys ranging from classes 3-8. The boys are orphans and from poor single parent families. They are studying at Army School, Jalukie. So far they are doing well in their studies.

Approach
Om hulp aan de kinderen te geven, ondersteunen we de Stichting Stephen’s Children ter plaatse. Al ruim 30 jaar is deze stichting actief, vooral in Caïro. Met zo’n vijftienhonderd toegewijde christelijke medewerkers werd in 2018 aan 21.000 gezinnen hulp geboden en krijgen 12.000 kinderen van 2 tot 6 jaar hun eerste lessen in de 97 kinderschooltjes. 


JIP’s contribution to the projectDe zusterorganisatie Stichting Stephen’s Children heeft een verworven in de sloppenwijk Ezbet el Nakhi in Caïro. Hiervan is de ruwbouw klaar. In deze wijk wonen veel gezinnen met jonge kinderen. Het doel is om het gebouw af te werken en in te richten voor de Henna kinderschool. Er komen dan vijf klassen voor 150 kinderen van 2 tot 6 jaar. JIP heeft bijgedragen van co-donateur voor de afwerking en oplevering van de kinderschool.
