Organisation

Free a Girl ( Bangladesh)

Objective

To combat the sexual exploitation of children in Bangladesh and help young victims escape exploitation and rebuild their lives in a safe environment.

Approach

Free a Girl works with local partners and the police to investigate cases of child sexual exploitation and carry out rescue operations. After being rescued, girls receive medical and psychosocial care, as well as legal support. Wherever possible, they are safely reunited with their families and continue to receive support after their return home.

JIP’s contribution to the project

JIP Foundation supported Free a Girl’s Rescue & Aftercare programme in Bangladesh, contributing to the rescue, protection and recovery of girls who are victims of sexual exploitation
