Scouting Olav Zeeverkenners (Naarden, The Netherlands)

Objective

To support Scouting Olav in continuing its activities for children and young people following the fire that destroyed its clubhouse, the Wiggershuis, in 2021.

Approach

Scouting Olav offers children and young people an active scouting programme with a strong focus on sailing and water activities. After the Wiggershuis and much of its equipment and fleet were lost in the fire, the organisation worked to resume its activities as quickly as possible and to rebuild the clubhouse.

JIP’s contribution to the project

Immediately after the fire, JIP Foundation supported the replacement of essential sailing equipment, enabling the young members to get back on the water. In 2024, JIP provided further support for the completion and interior furnishing of the newly built Wiggershuis.
